In jazz, we usually use 4 part chords as a minimum. These 4 notes help strengthen and anchor your improvised line or written melody and help them sound strong and “on the money.” This course will teach you chord tone theory, how to know what notes are in any given chord, effective ways to practice the chord tones, use different chord progressions to play the chord tones, learn where to place the chord tones, and quizzes sprinkled in to keep you sharp and on the right track.
